Stakeholders Event! (Thursday December 2nd 3-5pm)

Bridgend Inspiring Growth - Farmhouse Renovation Group
Stakeholders Event
- Thursday December 2nd 3-5pm
Downstairs at the Inch Community Centre

You are all cordially invited to this open public stakeholders event to give you the chance to voice your opinions on Bridgend Farmhouse and its potential renovation.

There will be the opportunity to see the current plans there are from Bridgend Inspiring Growth, hear presentations and suggestions from different partner organisations and groups, and be able to ask questions and work with others to give your views and ideas, and find ways you can get involved.

If you are interested in being one of the presenters or are an interested organisation that would like to bring information or a stall demonstrating the kinds of things you could see the site best used to develop then please get in touch.

This is Your chance to have a say, and if you are supportive of a community development for the farmhouse then please come along to show your support. A leaflet with more information is available on this blog with a questionnaire which we would very much appreciate if people could fill out and return.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

  1. I am a resident at Bridgend Cottages working full time and was disappointed to see that all the meetings to discuss plans for the farmhouse were scheduled during the normal working day.

I remember the farmhouse as a working farm and I would dearly like the farmhouse to be returned to a house with people living in it. That's what is always was and think it should be that again. Having residents in the house would make the area feel safer as it would discourage vandals in the evening.

I know there have been several fires in the farmhouse over the years since it was vacated, and would therefore be a major conservation/refurbishment project, however what could be more correct than returning it to its intended use?

If the council weren't prepared to sell it then it could be renovated as the nature warden's home - not office or day only use building.

I hope you publish all views and comments on the blogspot so that those that can't attend are kept informed.
